Once again, the Mid-winter Scottish and Irish festival is upon us. This annual event held at the Valley Forge Convention Center in PA hosts current touring bands and artists that full under the Celtic umbrella.

This will be my 13th or 14th year playing at the festival. I’m not bringing Hadrian’s Wall in this year, however, I’ll be playing solo as well as playing alongside Ashley MacLeod. I’m also sitting in with the ever popular Charlie Zham and the comical bard himself Oliver McIlhone. There is also a couple of opportunities for others to join in for some sessions, so bring out your instruments, spoons and voices.

This year, I’ll be bringing down my family. This will be my daughter Abigail’s second time there and my daughter Cara’s first time there. It’s a great setup for families.

After the festival, I’m bringing the family down to Orlando. I have a gig at Fiddlers Green Irish Pub and Eatery in Winter Park, FL on February 17th (9:30 pm). I haven’t played there since the old Hadrian’s Wall touring days (13 years ago). Come on out if you live in the area. We’ll be spending a week in Kissimmee with my brother and other family members.

Hopefully, after surviving a road trip to Disney with the family (a two year old and a seven month old), we’ll drive back up into Norristown, PA for Friday February 26th. I’ll be playing my first ever house concert at Bill & Karen Reid’s. I’m excited for this gig. It will be a lot of fun. Go to East of the Hebrides

Then early Saturday morning, we’ll head back to Canada and after dropping the family off at home, I’ll go to Ottawa and play with Ewen McIntosh at the Auld Dubliner Pub.

The new album – Tonight’s lineup… by Hadrian’s Wall is first live album since 2001. It was recorded on Friday July 31st, 2009 at the Glengarry Highland Games in Maxville, Ontario.

The album features a seven piece band with the following musicians: Neil Emberg, Dave Gossage, Richard Irwin, Ashley MacLeod, Nelson MacPherson, Ewen McIntosh and Terry O’Farrell.

It will available for sale on hadrianswall.net immediately, and on CDBaby and every digital download site within three weeks.
